about The artist
Nirit Takele is a contemporary figurative painter whose work is held in major museums, corporate, and private collections internationally.
Her paintings explore themes of identity, memory, and cultural belonging through bold color, sculptural figuration, and emotionally resonant compositions.
Born in Ethiopia and raised in Israel, Takele draws on personal and collective histories while creating works that speak to universal experiences of presence, connection, and human dignity.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Zeitz MOCAA, Addis Fine Art (London), and in leading museums and galleries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the United States.
Works by Takele are held in significant collections, including the Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Bank of Israel, and major private collections worldwide.
Works are available through the artist's studio in Tel Aviv.
