Painting from a series focusing on the experiences of adolescent girls in their daily lives and boarding school routines. The painting has three figures, each symbolizing a period of puberty.
1: the figure of the little girl- 12-13 years old, is innocent. She is sitting and about to get up. Her hands turn towards the figures older than her. An hourglass is placed in her palm, representing the passing of time and the development of the maturation process.
2: Middle figure- 14-17 years old- teenager, looking straight ahead at the viewer, ready to argue and speak her mind, standing determined and prepared for battle.
3: The older character - 18 years old is mature, self-confidend, and librerated and stands out in her feminity and flowing body movment.
